Altrusa Club of Lafayette, Indiana - Information

Mission Statement

To promote community betterment by providing opportunities for children and adults to improve their literacy skills, education, and quality of life.

Vision Statement:  Quality of life of children and adults will be enhanced by improving literacy and other life skills.

Service Projects

Volunteer at the Salvation Army Food Pantry two days per month.

Ring bells for the Salvation Army in November at Tippecanoe Mall

Partner with Lafayette Adult Resource Academy:

    Volunteer in the child care room where children stay while parents study for their GED or other skills

    Contribute snacks for the child care room

    Provide bus tokens for clients to get to school at LARA or to their jobs

    Provide scholarship opportunities for clients paying to complete their GED exams


Hold a yard sale in August
